I was born in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba Oriente, grew up on the US Naval Base,Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and learned the meaning of going after your dream, hard work, and perseverance from my parents when, at the age of six, they, who were born and raised in Cuba, decided to leave the life they knew so their kids could have a better life. That was the first example I saw of strong desires, taking action, and making dreams a reality. In 1981, Orlando, Florida, became my home.
